Javier Santamaría has served as a member of the EPC Plenary since the creation of the EPC in 2002. Since 2009, Mr Santamaría also chaired the EPC SEPA Payment Schemes Working Group. Mr Santamaría, former Head of Operations and Business Services, is Senior Vice President with Banco Santander. He represents the bank in several organisations related to payment systems and transaction banking in addition to the EPC: Mr Santamaría is a member of the Board of the Euro Banking Association, a Director of the SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) Board and of the Iberpay Board. He also continues to be actively involved in academic matters. |

Günther Gall is a senior banker with more than forty years of experience in managing all aspects of payments. He has been a member of the EPC Plenary since 2002. In the EPC, Mr Gall represents Raiffeisen Zentralbank Group, Vienna. He is an advisor to the board of Raiffeisen Zentralbank Group. Having previously served as Head of Transaction Services, Mr Gall is now Executive Director at Raiffeisen Bank International Group, a subsidiary of Raiffeisen Zentralbank Group. Until mid 2012, he was a Director of the SWIFT Board and a member of the Board of the Euro Banking Association. He chaired the Payment Systems Working Group of the European Association of Co-operative Banks and co-chaired the global Payment Market Practice Group of SWIFT. |

Etienne Goosse has extensive professional experience across different sectors in the payments industry. He started his career with the Belgian central bank. He held executive positions at eurocheque International, Europay International and MasterCard Europe. In his previous assignments, Mr Goosse’s responsibilities included franchise management, legal and regulatory affairs, stakeholder management as well as finance and administration. He also has an extensive track record in managing governance as well as European and public affairs. |

Jean-Yves Jacquelin

Jean-Yves Jacquelin is French yet lives in Vienna since 1983. He joined Erste Bank Vienna in 2000 in the processing area in charge of payment systems strategy. He is currently in product management, responsible for the SEPA Strategy and SEPA Migration of Erste Bank. His professional experience is with international banks in Vienna (Chase Manhattan Bank, Credit Lyonnais, ABN AMRO) in leading positions in Payments, Correspondent Banking, Securities, Back Offices, Electronic Banking, Cash Management and Customer Support. Mr Jacquelin has served as a member of various EPC working groups focusing on the development of the SEPA Credit Transfer and SEPA Direct Debit Schemes in close dialogue with the customer community since the creation of the EPC in 2002. He served as a member of the EPC SEPA Payment Schemes Working Group (SPS WG) since 2008 prior to being elected Chair of the SPS WG in 2012. |

Ugo Bechis, with UBI Banca-Banche Popolari Unite Group, has extensive professional experience across different sectors in the payments and home banking industries. Mr Bechis graduated at Turin University with a Doctorate in Economics, Monetary Policy and European Union Affairs and at UCLA (University of California Los Angeles) with an MBA in Finance and Organisational Behaviour. Mr Bechis also serves as board member of ABI CASPER (Clearing and Settlement Committee), Consorzio Bancomat (Italian national debit card scheme), European Alliance of Payment Schemes (EAPS) and Key Client Cards and Solutions - Cards Issuer and Acquirer (KCCS). |

Leonor Machado is General Manager at Caixa Geral de Depósitos with responsibilities in the area of payments. Ms Machado has had a long career in the banking industry and gained extensive experience in cards, marketing, retail and commercial areas. She is also the Chair of the Portuguese Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) group. With a background in economics, Ms Machado worked in various fields including international trade and cooperation and development before joining the banking sector. |

Dag-Inge Flatraaker is General Manager and Head of Interbank Infrastructure and Payment System Strategy in DNB Bank ASA. Mr Flatraaker holds a Masters Degree in Economics (University of Oslo) and a mid-career Program at Harvard University (Boston) in Public and Business Administration. During his career at DNB Bank ASA, Mr Flatraaker has held different management positions including payments, treasury, mid- and back-office functions. Prior to his role at DNB Bank ASA, he had a long career in the Central Bank of Norway. Mr Flatraaker is also a standing member of the Contact Group on Euro Payments Strategy (COGEPS), APACS, the Euro Banking Association (EBA) and holds key positions in the Norwegian payments infrastructures. |

Gijs Boudewijn

Gijs Boudewijn is currently responsible for payments at the Dutch Banking Association. He has extensive experience in domestic as well as international payments issues, competition law and fraud prevention. He started as an in-house lawyer at a large savings bank, and later became Head of Legal Affairs at the central Dutch clearing house, Bankgirocentrale, the predecessor of Equens SE. In that capacity he sat on the Rules & Conciliation Committee of eurocheque International S.A. and later Europay International SA, now MasterCard Europe. In 1998, Mr Boudewijn joined the Dutch Banking Association as Head of Payments and Security Affairs. He is also a member of the Payment Systems Committee of the European Banking Federation and the European Legal and Regulatory Advisory Committee of MasterCard Europe. |

Francis De Roeck works within 'Operations' at BNP Paribas Fortis and is Head of External Relations and Innovation for Payments and Securities. Before that he occupied during 17 years different senior managerial positions and was member of the board at AGF Belgium Bank. He is a payments expert and is involved in the SEPA process since the start. Mr. De Roeck is member of the board of the Belgian Clearing house CEC/UCV and is member of various industry committees of the Belgian banking sector. He represents BNP Paribas Fortis in several forums related to development of payments, e-payments and cash management, including the EPC and the Euro Banking Association. |

Ruth Wandhöfer

Ruth Wandhöfer is currently responsible for Citi's market policy & strategy within the Global Transaction Services (GTS) business. As such, Ms Wandhöfer has external responsibility for engaging with and influencing the evolving regulatory and market / standards environment on a wide range of established and emerging topics, as well as driving and coordinating the business response within Citi GTS. In a European payments context this has included responsibility for Citi GTSs' PSD implementation project, as well as product evolution and thought leadership in relation to all aspects of Citi's response to SEPA. She chairs the European banking industry's PSD Expert Group and is a member of the European Commission's Payment Systems Market Expert Group (PSMEG) and the Contact Group on Euro Payments Strategy (COGEPS). Ms Wandhöfer holds an MA in Financial Economics, an MA in International Politics and an LLM in International Economic Law. |

Thomas Egner works within Group Services-Banking Operations at Commerzbank AG, Frankfurt. As a payments professional, Mr Egner has been engaged in the SEPA process since the start. He participates in various standardisation bodies and in industry committees of the German banking sector, which drive the strategic response to developments in payments and cash management services. Mr Egner is a member of the board of EBA Clearing, chairs the ISO 20022 Payments Standards Evaluation Group and represents the German banking community in payments-related working groups at SWIFT. |

Michael Montoya

Michael Montoya is Head of Global Payments & Cash Management Services at UBS in Switzerland, where he is responsible for all payment products and services offered to private and corporate clients. He drives the strategic development of the payments business at UBS and represents UBS in the Swiss SWIFT Member and User Group, the Swiss Payments Council, the AKZV committee at Deutsche Bundesbank, the Board of the SIX Interbank Clearing and the Swiss Euro Clearing Bank (SECB). Mr Montoya represents the Swiss banking community also in the Payments Market Practice Group (PMPG) and in the SWIFT Corporate Advisory Group. At UBS Mr Montoya is also responsible for the operational function of payments as well as cash and liquidity management. He started his career with UBS in 1990 as product manager for cash clearing and cheque services. |

Myra Kinghorn is both a chartered accountant and chartered director with a wide range of board experience as an executive and non-executive director. Ms Kinghorn spent 13 years working in the accountancy profession before moving to the public sector, with a focus on the financial services environment and investor protection. She was the first Chief Executive of the Pension Protection Fund and before that Chief Executive of the Investors Compensation Scheme for more than 11 years. Ms Kinghorn is currently a member of the Architects Registration Board and also a Governor of Morley College. |
