SMi's Contactless Payments 2013
3-4 June 2013 - London, UK
The conference will be covering various changes on the legal side, trade unions and organization involved in contactless payments such as collaboration between FSA and Ofcom. There have been significant steps made with contactless cards in transport following TFL's move to accept contactless debit and credit card payments on their buses and there's more to come across many other transport facilities across the world which we will study at the conference. We will also be focusing on the fact that MNOs are starting to get involved in the emerging payments and in particular our keynote fo2 are launching brand new initiatives concerning their brand.
2012 was significant due to the Olympic Games, and also for contactless cards and emerging payments as it was heralded "the contactless games", but what was the outcome? Can we learn lessons from the contactless card adoption at such a prestigious event? While the adoption of contactless really took off at this large scale event, the concept of contactless payments at festivals was starting to catch on too and we will be exploring this at the conference.
All in all, this conference is going to cover the newest developments in the payments sector including transport, mobile payments and large-scale events.

The EAST Financial Crime & Security Forum will bring together global stakeholders with the objective of sharing knowledge, the latest trends, innovations and modus operandi in the ATM Security field, as well as the impact of international financial crime, and seek practical and strategic measures to respond to ever-evolving threats.
The European ATM Security Team (EAST) has national members representing 29 countries, with a total deployment of 625,776 ATMs. In a European ATM Crime Report covering the first six months of 2012 EAST reported over nine thousand ATM related fraud attacks with losses of €131 million (€128 million from card skimming and the remainder related to card trapping, cash trapping and transaction reversal fraud).

Informa Telecoms & Media's Mobile Wallet & Retail Innovation 2013
18-19 June 2013 - London, UK
After 15 successful years of delivering the Mobile Financial Services Summit, Informa Telecoms and Media is proud to again reflect the changing industry focus and announce the Mobile Wallet and Retail Innovation event. The wide agenda addresses the mCommerce ecosystem's critical business, partnership, technology and security questions, as both operators and OTT players begin to implement different approaches to securing ROI through their m-payment propositions.
Additionally, the programme draws together perhaps the most significant players in the mCommerce value chain: the retailers. With couponing, location based services, loyalty schemes, SMS and QR codes now being adopted to extend brands' reach to consumers and enterprises, Mobile Wallet and Retail Innovation comes at an exciting but yet still nascent stage for mobile marketing and advertising, to break down the 'mobile obstacle' currently confronted by retailers and brands.

EFMA's Innovation in Retail Banking 2013
20-21 June 2013 - Barcelona, Spain
Overview:
Efma has been nurturing innovation in retail financial services for over 40 years, by fostering debate and discussion amongst banking and insurance executives. This year's 'Banking on innovation' conference is organised with and hosted by La Caixa. It provides a forum where delegates can discuss innovative ideas; network; and learn from their peers. There will also be presentations on innovation in other retail sectors.
Efma's research shows that innovation is increasingly important to banks, both for delivering a superior customer experience and for enhancing channels. In particular, banks have been investing in digital channel innovation: from different mobile payments through to online personal financial management and planning.
Customers have embraced remote channels and social networks. They are better informed, educated and more demanding. Their benchmarks for all providers (including banks) are the leading Internet and mobile companies.
Key questions:- What changes are needed within the bank? What is the best way of organising the innovation process? Banks need to decide who is in charge, the associated budgets, the decision processes, potential partnerships and market tests. How can they generate ideas and incorporate innovation as part of their DNA?
- What changes are needed within the channels? How can banks integrate innovation effectively within existing channels? They also need to start exploiting new channels.
- What changes are needed to the customer relationship? How can innovation be used to create the 'wow' effect? How can the Internet be leveraged to refocus the customer relationship and how can banks manage the customer dialogue through the social media?

Informa Telecoms & Media's SIMposium Global 2013
25-26 June 2013 - Amsterdam, The Netherlands
The security, identity and mobility challenges of the internet connected world, as well as the opportunities leveraged by the secure element, will remain at the core of SIMposium 2013.
However, if one thing was concluded at the end of the 2012 SIMposium, it was that a lot of discussion is still needed and work to be done to combine the technology with the opportunities in the market.
Now is a 'defining period' (Sony) in the market, with different business models being tested against each other and case studies exposed. The price of connecting to LTE and the eUICC is a big concern for the cost aware, fragmented and massive M2M market.
SIMposium 2013 will bring more end user case studies looking at how the secure element is enabling connectivity in automotive, health, utilities, retail and more.
We will also bring more stories of success from the crowded and fiercely competitive mCommerce space, giving insight from disruptive players, operator partnerships and the secrets of success from leading TSMs.
Handset manufacturers need to support their operator and vertical end user customers, a difficult task in an ever-changing market! We will bring you best practice from those leading with Sony!
With Cloud still a growing buzz world in telecommunications, SIMposium 2013 will break down the role the secure element plays in Cloud and online ID access.
The secure element will always be critical to mCommerce and M2M success, and we are already excited about working towards an even better SIMposium in 2013 which recognises secure element innovation!

MVNOs Industry Summit CEE 2013
10-11 September 2013 - Poland
MVNOs Industry Summit CEE is the newest addition, as one of 7 regional events from our market leading MVNOs Industry Summit Series.
A few years ago we launched MVNOs Industry Summit Latam because of market de-regulation, and interest in the region. CEE is in much the same position now - the main Russian telco operators have been actively reviewing and also signing up MVNOs in 2011/2012. Deutsche Telekom and MTV discussed a potential CEE venture at MVNOs Industry Summit in 2010 and then announced their launch into Poland at MVNOs Industry Summit 2012. Alan Gow, the co-founder of Virgin Mobile, announced MVNOs Industry Summit that in late 2012 his new team would be launching an MVNO in Poland. There is also a good bedding of MVNE ventures throughout Romania, Croatia and beyond.
As such, we have listened to industry feedback and added in this regional event to the series.
MVNOs Industry Summit CEE will cover:
- How is the MVNO market developing in CEE?
- Are the operators open to partnerships or hostile?
- Which wholesale deals offer the most future proof value as a partner?
- Will the MVNO model present sufficient value to adapt to CEE market conditions?
- Which market segments should be targeted and which are already covered?
- What are the opportunities for MVNOs and content owners to develop content services for target markets?
- How will MVNEs also sub-segment to meet the needs of ever-refined MVNOS?
