International Bank Account Number - IBAN

The ISO IBAN Standard, ISO 13616 has now been formally published. It has been aligned with the European Standard EBS 204 which was implemented in some 40 countries including all the SEPA countries. EPC documents will be updated to reference only the ISO IBAN standard.

Since SWIFT is the official registration authority for all matters relating to the ISO IBAN, the documentation related to the IBAN formerly posted on this web site has now been removed.

ISO 13616 may be purchased from the ISO website.
