SEPA Credit Transfer
2015 SCT Rulebook
In November 2014, the European Payments Council (EPC) published updated and enhanced versions of the SEPA Credit Transfer (SCT) and SEPA Direct Debit (SDD) Rulebooks, i.e. the SCT Rulebook version 8.0, SDD Core Rulebook version 8.0 and SDD Business to Business Rulebook version 6.0.
The 2015 SCT Rulebook has been updated to include amended Scheme Management Internal Rules
On 3 April 2015, the EPC published the SCT Rulebook version 8.1 which has been updated to include amended Scheme Management Internal Rules (SMIRs). Amendments to the SMIRs are of a purely administrative nature and have no operational impact whatsoever. Consequently, the SCT Rulebook version 8.1 remains unchanged from a functional or technical point of view compared to the previous version 8.0.
Annex III of the SCT Rulebook version 8.1 lists all changes compared to the previous version 8.0.
On this page, you find the links to the SCT Rulebook version 8.1 and associated implementation guidelines to take effect on 22 November 2015.
The SCT Rulebook version 8.1 will then remain in effect until November 2017.
The implementation guidelines relevant to the SCT Rulebook version 8.1 are based on the 2009 version of ISO 20022.
In accordance with industry best practice, payment service providers and their suppliers have sufficient time to address rulebook updates prior to them taking effect. To learn more about the scheme change management cycle, refer to this EPC Website page: SCT / SDD Rulebook Release Management.
