The purpose of the clarification paper is to provide guidance and, where feasible, recommendations to the future Single Euro Payments Area ( ) Request-to-Pay ( ) scheme participants on matters that are not described in versions 3.0 and 3.1 of the SRTP scheme rulebook.
With this additional clarification, the European Payments Council ( ) aims to avoid a fragmented approach in the way the rulebook is implemented.
Also, it should be noted that the clarification paper is a living document which will be updated from time to time once new questions and/or issues arise that need further clarification.
