The purpose of the clarification paper is to provide guidance and, where feasible, recommendations to the future Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) Request-to-Pay (SRTP) scheme participants on matters that are not described in versions 3.0 and 3.1 of the SRTP scheme rulebook.
With this additional clarification, the European Payments Council (EPC) aims to avoid a fragmented approach in the way the SRTP rulebook is implemented.
Also, it should be noted that the clarification paper is a living document which will be updated from time to time once new questions and/or issues arise that need further clarification.
