These Implementation Guidelines () set out the Single Euro Payments Area () rules for implementing the interbank ISO 20022 XML message standards based on version 1.3 of the 2017 Credit Transfer () rulebook.
Version 1.1 of the 2017 Interbank which was published on 14 November 2017 introduced the ‘Request for Recall by the Originator’ (RFRO) procedure (including the ‘Request for Status Update’ related to the RFRO) and became effective as from 18 November 2018.
An updated version ( 2017 V2.1) - with an effective date of 17 November 2019 - was published on 28 June 2018 which introduces the approved ISO 20022 messages related to the inquiry processes and includes the errata to the 2017 v2.0 . This version has been superseded by version 1.0 of the 2019 Interbank published on 22 November 2018 and effective as from 17 November 2019.
It should be noted that the inquiry processes will only become effective in November 2019, as already stated in the current version of the 2017 rulebook and as confirmed in version 1.0 of the 2019 rulebook.
Errata documents were published on 4 May 2018 which list some minor changes to the 2017 version 1.1 (see below) and 2017 version 2.0 of the Interbank . The latter has also been superseded by version 1.0 of the 2019 Interbank Implementation Guidelines
XSDs are not developed for ‘production’ purposes, they are to instantiate the business rules and restrictions contained in the implementation guidelines in a formal interchange format, sometimes referred to as Technical Validation Subsets (TVSs). Production instantiations should refer to the default ISO 20022 namespaces.
For more information on the data formats based on the global ISO 20022 message standards, refer to the Publication 'Shortcut to the Data Format'.
