The ad-hoc multi-stakeholder group (MSG) on Mobile Initiated Credit Transfers, including instant transfers (MSG MSCT) which is facilitated by the European Payments Council ( ), held its tenth Plenary meeting on 27 March 2020.
The MSG MSCT published mid-December 2019 a dedicated document on technical interoperability of MSCTs based on payee-presented data for a public consultation till 14 February 2020. The group is analysing the comments received through this public consultation and is preparing an updated version of the document reflecting the appropriate changes requested.
The MSG MSCT is also analysing further MSCT use cases based on payer-presented data as well as the technical interoperability requirements for these payments. A dedicated document on technical interoperability for MSCTs based on payer-presented data is expected to be finalised by end May 2020 for public consultation.
The group also continues their discussion on an MSCT roadmap, while coordinating with other related developments such as the work undertaken by the Euro Retail Payments Board working group ( WG) on a framework for instant payments at the Point-Of-Interaction (POI) (see in ‘related links’).
