The ad-hoc multi-stakeholder group (MSG) on Mobile Initiated Credit Transfers, including instant transfers (MSG MSCT) which is facilitated by the European Payments Council ( ), held its eleventh Plenary meeting on 28 April 2020.

The MSG MSCT finalised the document on “Technical interoperability of MSCTs based on payee-presented data” following a public consultation on a draft version. The publication of the document was planned for end May 2020. The group also prepared a disposition of comments that will be distributed to the organisations that have submitted comments through the public consultation.

The group also finalised a new document on “Technical interoperability of MSCTs based on payer-presented data” that was planned to be published end May 2020 for an eight-week public consultation.

The MSG MSCT is now analysing new MSCT use cases based on consumer-presented data for consumer-to-business payment contexts. The group also continues their development of an MSCT roadmap.

Furthermore, they are coordinating and providing inputs to the Euro Retail Payments Board working group ( WG) on a framework for instant payments at the Point-of-Interaction (POI) (see in ‘related links’).
