The multi-stakeholder group on Mobile Initiated (instant) SEPA Credit Transfers (MSG MSCT), which is facilitated by the European Payments Council (EPC), held its 27th Plenary meeting on 4 November 2021.

The final version of the document on the Standardisation and governance of QR1-codes for Instant Payments at the Point of Interaction (IPs at the POI) (based on ERPB/2020/026), developed in the dedicated work-stream, was reviewed and approved for submission to the ERPB meeting on 25 November 2021.

The final version of the document on “Business requirements for consumer selection of preferred payment instrument”, made in the joint task force with the European Cards Stakeholders Group (ECSG), was also presented and approved for submission to the ERPB meeting on 25 November 2021.

The status report on the follow-up on Recommendation G of ERPB/2019/012, prepared by the management of the MSG MSCT, the ECSG and nexo was reviewed and approved for submission to the ERPB meeting on 25 November 2021.

The MSG MSCT updated the MSCT roadmap in view of the market and technological developments over the past year and submitted the document for approval to the EPC Board meeting in November 2021. The MSG MSCT further decided to request an extension of their mandate till mid-2023 from the EPC Board at the same meeting.
