Request for Information to provide a Standardised Proxy Lookup service

The Mobile Proxy Forum () is launching a Request for Information () to gather information concerning the provision of a Standardised Proxy Lookup (SPL) service.The aim of the service is to allow the exchange of the data necessary to initiate person-to-person () mobile payments between proxy-based P2P mobile payment solutions on a pan-European level. It will facilitate interoperability between participating P2P mobile payment solutions.

Interested technology service providers are invited to declare their interest in providing the SPL service and to describe the manner (commercial and technical) in which they are planning to provide this service.

RFI applications can be submitted until 31 August 2017 close of business.

Interested parties can submit any questions about the RFI. Where possible, the questions – and answers – will be published on this page.


This announcement constitutes a RFI issued in the name of and on behalf of the MPF, a cross-industry working group set up under the auspices of the Euro Retail Payments Board ().

This RFI is issued by the MPF as a means of technical discovery and information gathering regarding the provision of a SPL service. This RFI should not be construed as a solicitation for commercial offerings, nor should it be construed as an obligation on the part of the MPF to contract. No solicitation documents exist at this time.This RFI does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that the MPF will take a procurement action in this matter. Participation in this RFI is voluntary and the MPF will not be responsible for any cost incurred in furnishing any information or for the MPF's use of the information.
