In November 2016, the published an updated version 7.3 of the Direct Debit ( ) Business-to-Business (B2B) Rulebook which remains unchanged from a functional or technical point of view, i.e. changes introduced into the updated version have no operational impact whatsoever.
The B2B Rulebook version 7.3 takes effect on 24 December 2016 and will remain in effect until 19 November 2017.
The version 7.3 of the B2B Rulebook contains as main change an updated version of the Scheme Management Internal Rules (SMIRs), which describes the internal organisation, structure, rules, and processes that make up the scheme management of the and schemes.
This new version of the SMIRs (EPC207-14 v3.0) replaces the previous SMIRs following a 90 day public consultation.
With the new SMIRs, the makes more explicit the role of the Scheme Management Board and the scheme participants’ obligations in the context of changes to the scheme participants’ operational, contacting or invoicing details.
