To contribute to creating awareness on payment threats and fraud trends, and to help payment stakeholders decide on possible actions, the publishes the 2018 Payment Threat and Fraud Trends Report.

The report provides an overview of the most important threats that affect electronic payments such as social engineering, malware, advanced persistent threats, mobile device related attacks, denial of service attacks, etc.

For each threat, apart from a definition and description, an analysis is made on the impact and the context. Also, suggested controls and mitigating measures are described in the document. A summary listing the threats with the corresponding main controls and mitigation measures is provided in an annex.

This yearly report prepared by the and publicly released for the second time, will be helpful to any professional wishing to learn more about widespread and emerging payment threats and fraud trends.
