EPC calls for independent candidates for its Compliance and Adherence Committee and its Appeals Committee

The European Payments Council’s Compliance and Adherence Committee (CAC – the body responsible for the compliance functions of scheme management) and the Appeals Committee (the body responsible for handling appeals brought in respect of decisions taken by the CAC) will be renewed in 2018.

For each of the CAC and the Appeals Committee, two seats (including the Chairmanship of the CAC and of the Appeals Committee) are available for ‘independent members’. The invites all interested candidates to apply by 15 December 2017.

The structure of the CAC and the Appeals Committee, together with details on the internal organisation, rules and processes are detailed in the SEPA Scheme Management Internal Rules.  

Conditions of application

To apply for the position of an independent member, the candidates should not be employed or be otherwise affiliated with an scheme participant or payment service provider communities, service providers or a payment services user group or user association. For more details regarding the criteria for independent membership of the CAC and Appeals Committee, please refer to the dedicated profile document.

To be considered, the candidate must clearly indicate in the application letter whether he or she seeks appointment to the Compliance and Adherence Committee or to the Appeals Committee. Also, kindly indicate whether you wish to apply for the role of Chair of the relevant group.

The mandate will start in April 2018 and end in April 2021.
