The European Commission's final RTS are in the Official Journal

More than two years after the European Banking Authority ( ) started to work on their principles and following the publication by the European Commission of a final version in November 2017, the Regulatory Technical Standards ( ) on strong customer authentication ( ) and secure open standards of communication ( ) are published today in the Official Journal of the European Union. The will apply in September 2019, leaving 18 months to the payment industry to get ready for this new state of play.
