The inclusion of the Principality of Andorra and the Vatican City State/The Holy See in the SEPA payment schemes’ geographical scope

As of today, the Principality of Andorra and the Vatican City State / the Holy See are part of the geographical scope of the Single Euro Payments Area ( ) payment schemes.

From now on, the geographical scope of the payment schemes consists of the following 36 countries: the 28 Member States plus Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Monaco, San Marino, the Principality of Andorra and the Vatican City State/the Holy See.

As a result, all existing European Payments Council ( ) scheme participants should be able to send or to receive Credit Transfer ( ), Instant Credit Transfer ( ) and Direct Debit ( ) transactions to and from , and scheme participants from the Principality of Andorra and the Vatican City State/the Holy See as and when their financial institutions will adhere to these schemes.
