Inclusion of San Marino in the jurisdictional scope of the SEPA Credit Transfer and SEPA Direct Debit Schemes effective 1 February 2014.

In December 2013, the Plenary, which is the decision-making body of the European Payments Council (), agreed to extend the jurisdictional scope of the Single Euro Payments Area () Schemes to eligible banks or payment service providers from San Marino effective 1 February 2014. As of that date, the jurisdictional scope of the Schemes will thus consist of the 28 EU Member States plus Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Monaco and San Marino. The duly amended List of Scheme countries is made available on the Website (see ‘related links’ below).
