The latest issue of the EPC newsletter, providing insights on hot payment topics and European regulatory developments, is available.
This new edition provides external contributions from:
- Leo Lipis, who shares with us lessons learned from small- and medium-sized banks that have already successfully put instant payments into operation. A valuable insight as the registration for the Instant Credit Transfer scheme is now open to any Payment Service Provider (about which the newsletter provides more information).
- Randy Vanderhoof, director of the U.S. Payments Forum, who updates us on America's ongoing migration to EMV chip technology and the growth in mobile and contactless payments.
- Peter Heiling from the Austrian payments association STUZZA, who takes a closer look at Austrian payment trends, also explained in our infographic.
In addition, the newsletter focuses on the implementation of the revised Payment Services Directive ( ), with articles about Application Programming Interfaces ( ), and the final draft Regulatory Technical Standards on strong customer authentication and common and secure communication under PSD2, recently released by the European Banking Authority.
