Today the EPC published the version 1.7 of the Clarification Paper on Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) Credit Transfer (SCT) and SEPA Instant Credit Transfer (SCT Inst) rulebooks.

The objective of this new document is to offer information and recommendations to the scheme participants.

This version includes among others clarifications about changes to the SCT inquiry process entering into force in November 2021.

The 2021 SCT rulebook contains a new dataset DS-11 ‘Inter-PSP Fee and/or Compensation Payment Dataset’. The Originator PSP can use this dataset to pay the Beneficiary PSP a fee and/or interest compensation to finally resolve an SCT inquiry. The section 3.5 of the new clarification paper version provides the SCT scheme participants with specifications for how to implement and use this dataset.

Furthermore, the new section 4.1 of the new clarification paper version contains recommendations for SCT Inst scheme participants about the payment account reachability for SCT Inst transactions.
