Publication of the Summary of the Stakeholders Workshop on P2P Mobile Payments

The European Payments Council () publishes the summary of the stakeholders workshop on Person-to-Person () mobile payments. This workshop was organised and hosted by the on 21 January 2016 and attracted around 80 participants from all parts of Europe with a very wide background.

mobile payments is a topic of growing interest in the financial and telecom industries. More than fifty solutions currently co-exist in the Single Euro Payments Area (), but there is no pan-European interoperability between these solutions. The January workshop was organised at the Euro Retail Payments Board’s () invitation, in order to facilitate the cooperation of existing and future mobile payment solutions, to ensure their pan-European interoperability.

The summary focuses on the main conclusions and issues raised by the workshop participants. The list of the participants is also made available, as well as the workshop agenda.
