The European Payments Council ( ) acts as a facilitator in the context of Person-to-Person ( ) mobile payments, at the Euro Retail Payments Board’s invitation.
The Steering Committee of the Mobile Proxy Forum – the coordination body of the European mobile payments stakeholders, of which the creation was decided in January 2016 – met for the second time in May 2016. The summary of this meeting is now available. Among other things, the Steering Committee approved the name of the Forum, now known as the ‘Mobile Proxy Forum’.
Achieving pan-European interoperability of mobile payments, while ensuring the user-friendliness of the solutions to be developed, and competition in the market, is an exciting project for the mobile payments stakeholders.
