EPC Recommendation on ISO 20022 Customer Reporting of SCTs, OCT Inst and SDDs

The EPC issues implementation guidelines (IGs) that are based on the ISO 20022 standard for the customer-to-PSP (C2PSP) space as well as the inter-PSP space. In addition, the EPC provides recommendations on ISO 20022 PSP-to-customer (PSP2C) account information, which represent the third and final link in the chain.

The purpose of this document is to provide a mapping of the EPC payment scheme rulebook requirements vis-à-vis, predominantly, the ‘Transaction Details’ message elements of the ISO 20022 reporting messages (camt.052, camt.053 and camt.054).

An updated version 5.0 of the document EPC188-09 has been created to reflect the various changes made in the 2025 EPC payment scheme rulebooks and related IGs. It now also covers recommendations for the One-Leg Out Instant Credit Transfer (OCT Inst) scheme.

This version will take effect on the entry-into-force date of the five 2025 EPC payment scheme rulebooks i.e. 5 October 2025.
