The ad-hoc multi-stakeholder group on Mobile Initiated (instant)
Credit Transfers (
MSCT), which is facilitated by the European Payments Council (
), held its 16th Plenary meeting on 21 October 2020.
The
MSCT finalised the development of the MSCT roadmap which includes, next to a brief description of the different topics to be addressed to achieve interoperability of MSCTs across
, a priority setting made by the group.
This roadmap served as input for the development of a request for the extension of the
MSCT mandate for 2021 (see
MSCT 091-20v1.3) for submission for approval to the
Board in November 2021. The approved extended mandate may be found below.
The
MSCT proceeded with the analysis of new MSCT use cases based on consumer-presented data for consumer-to-business payment contexts including new models involving a payment initiation service provider (PISP) or a so-called Collecting
(on behalf of the merchant).
Furthermore, they continued the coordination with the Euro Retail Payments Board working group (
WG) and provided further inputs for the finalisation of their document on an Interoperability framework for instant payments at the Point-of-Interaction (POI) (see in ‘related links’).
