SEPA Payment Account Access (SPAA) Scheme Rulebook (version 1.1): Call for Change Requests

The European Payments Council (EPC) is launching a call for change requests for possible modifications to be introduced into the SEPA Payment Account Access (SPAA) scheme rulebook (version 1.1). The call starts today and will run until 2 February 2024.

How to participate?

The template to submit a change request for the SPAA scheme rulebook (version 1.1) can be downloaded below. Any person or organisation with a legitimate interest can submit a change request in accordance with the rules described in section 5.2.3 “Submission of Change Requests to the EPC Secretariat” of the current rulebook version (v1.1).

Stakeholders are kindly invited to submit their change requests via email to [email protected] by 2 February 2024, midnight Brussels time.

Note: change requests received after the deadline will be filed and considered for the next maintenance cycle.

Next steps?

The EPC will analyse the legal and technical feasibility of all change requests received. To ensure that they are supported by a broad community, the EPC is expected to organise a three-month public consultation around the end of May 2024. The change requests that received broad acceptance will be included in version 2.0 of the SPAA scheme rulebook which is anticipated to be published by end of 2024.
