The European Payments Council (EPC) has released guidelines for the EPC Directory Service (EDS) Web Graphical User Interface (GUI), providing detailed instructions on its usage. The EDS is accessible by scheme participants and their technical providers (e.g. Routing and/or Verification Mechanisms (RVM) for the Verification Of Payee (VOP) scheme) through a Web GUI, and through EDS Application Programming Interfaces (API).
Once the adherence to the VOP scheme (and the onboarding in the EDS ) is completed – including also user creation and activation in SWIFT user management platform “swift.com” – the scheme participants and the RVMs can access the EDS GUI using their “swift.com” credentials.
