The European Payments Council (EPC) has released a video explaining the One-Leg Out Instant Credit Transfer (OCT Inst) scheme and its role in improving international payments.

The video illustrates how the OCT Inst scheme enables Payment Service Providers (PSPs) in Europe to offer faster, transparent and more traceable international credit transfers by processing the euro leg of such payments within ten seconds, on a 24/7/365 basis. It also emphasises the scheme’s strong alignment with international standards and guidelines such as ISO 20022, CBPR+ and IP+.

It also outlines its many similarities with the EPC’s SEPA Instant Credit Transfer (SCT Inst) scheme, offering PSPs a proven and future‑ready solution for international payments.

This video further explains how the OCT Inst scheme supports the PSPs in meeting the G20 target for improving international payments in speed, efficiency and data consistency across borders by 2027.
