In accordance with the relevant provisions of the EPC Payment Scheme Management Rules and of the Verification Of Payee (VOP) scheme rulebook, the EPC establishes on an annual basis the EPC scheme participation fees for the following year. These fees are intended to recover the costs related to the EPC Payment Scheme Management, the VOP Scheme Management and the VOP Scheme-related EPC Directory Service (EDS) management functions performed by the EPC.
The purpose of the present document is to clarify the administrative rules and procedures put in place to ensure the effective and orderly collection of the EPC Scheme Fees, namely:
- the EPC payment scheme participation fees, as defined in the EPC Payment Scheme Management Rules;
- the annual VOP Scheme participation fee and the EPC Directory Service (EDS) one-off set-up fee, as defined in the VOP Scheme Rulebook; and
- the annual Routing and/or Verification Mechanisms (RVMs) fee.
The rules and guidelines set out in this document are of an administrative nature only and do not supersede the applicable EPC Rulebooks or the EPC Payment Scheme Management Rules, which remain the sole authoritative sources governing the rights and obligations of scheme participants.
