The European Payments Council (EPC) has released “EDS Onboarding and Registration Guide”, offering step-by-step instructions on how the Verification of Payee (VOP) scheme participants and Routing and/or Verification Mechanism (RVM) can register for using the EPC Directory Service (EDS) via the EDS Graphical User Interface (GUI) and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
The guide also offers recommendations for selecting the most suitable option based on the VOP scheme participant or RVM profile:
- Standard onboarding for full EDS control and EDS API access, or in case of acting as RVM.
- Simplified registration for those using a RVM.
It also includes instructions on obtaining a BIC and accessing APIs.
