In the European Payments Council (EPC) Verification Of Payee (VOP) scheme, Requesting PSPs authenticate using a Qualified Web Authentication certificate issued for use in the PSD2 Open Banking context ("QWAC PSD2"). A QWAC PSD2 certificate is created according to the "ETSI TS 119 495" standard which foresees the certificate contains a PSP identifier and the abbreviation of the NCA (National Competent Authority) that issued the identifier (as defined in GEN-5.2.1-3 of the ETSI specification).
This page lists the types of PSP identifiers and the responsible issuing NCA for all EEA and non-EEA countries where the EPC VOP Scheme is active.
For VOP participants in EU countries, please refer to the list of National Competent Authorities so referenced in Appendix D of the ETSI TS 119 495 standard.
The list is also published on the European Banking Authority website at Click Here.
