The EPC is publishing guidelines to describe the federated approach (the EPC-recommended way to envisage in the medium and long term, the adoption of the SEPA Request-to-Pay (SRTP) scheme) and allows for a smooth and progressive transition from intra-community initiatives to the full SRTP scheme.
These guidelines outlining how to implement a future-proof solution in relation with the SEPA Request-to-Pay (SRTP) scheme are provided to clarify the way to secure cross-community interoperability and reachability while pursuing locally-relevant use cases and commercial models.
They acknowledge the existence of intra-community initiatives and clarify that, in order to ensure convergence, the governance of the technical and functional components should be common, while the business aspects should remain at the discretion of the respective communities.
