The EPC payment schemes are updated every two years to reflect the market needs and the evolution of technical standards.
Anyone interested in the evolution of the SEPA Credit Transfer (SCT) scheme can participate in the public consultation on the 2026 SCT change requests from 13 March to 11 June 2026 closing at 17h00 CET.

The next EPC payment scheme rulebook change management cycle will take place in 2028. Stakeholders are invited to submit change requests to the EPC payment scheme rulebooks by 12 November 2027 by completing a dedicated template. The change requests received will be considered for future versions of the SCT rulebook and associated implementation guidelines. The 2029 SCT rulebook and implementation guidelines will be published in November 2028, to take effect in November 2029.
The previous EPC payment scheme rulebook change management cycle was organised throughout 2024, and ended with the publication of the 2025 SCT and SDD rulebooks on 28 November 2024.
