The SEPA Direct Debit (SDD) Core scheme is used by thousands of payment service providers (PSPs) who offer individual consumers and businesses the convenience and security of euro direct debits in Europe. This page provides the information PSPs need in order to implement the SDD Core scheme.
The SDD Core rulebook currently in effect up to and including 21 November 2027 is the 2025 SDD Core rulebook version 1.1. Version 1.1 formally replaced version 1.0 of the 2025 SDD Core rulebook at its publication on 05 October 2025.
Version 1.1 of the 2025 SDD Core rulebook now stipulates that the 2026 date as of which the unstructured address format is no longer permitted, is 15 November 2026 (the initially determined date was 22 November 2026 as outlined in version 1.0 of the 2025 SDD Core rulebook).
This amended date is aligned with the November 2026 Swift Standards MX Release date scheduled in the second full weekend of November 2026.
Version 1.1 of the 2025 SDD Core rulebook has no impact on any other business or operational rules compared to version 1.0 of the 2025 SDD Core rulebook.
