SEPA Direct Debit Core public consultation

The    payment schemes are updated every two years to reflect market needs and the evolution of technical standards.

Current public consultation

Anyone interested in the evolution of the Direct Debit Core ( ) scheme had the opportunity to participate in the public consultation on the 2020  change requests from 12 March to 9 June 2020.

The SDD Core Rulebook 2020 Change Request Public Consultation Document provides more details about how each stakeholder was able to take part in this public consultation.

Previous public consultation

A scheme rulebook change management cycle had been organised throughout 2018 and ended with the publication of the 2019 and  rulebooks on 22 November 2018. 

In line with its commitment to transparency, the  published all comments received during the public consultation, as well as the position of the stakeholder forums on these comments.

Next scheme rulebook change management cycle

The next scheme rulebook change management cycle will take place in 2022. Stakeholders are invited to submit change requests to the and rulebooks by 31 December 2021 by completing a dedicated template. The received change requests will be considered regarding the rulebook versions and associated implementation guidelines to be published in November 2022 to take effect in November 2023.
