In May 2022, the European Payments Council (EPC) published updated and enhanced versions of the SEPA Credit Transfer (SCT) and SEPA Direct Debit (SDD) rulebooks. To ensure planning security for all market participants, the publication of the new rulebook versions follows a predictable release management cycle.
In accordance with industry best practice, payment service providers (PSPs) and their suppliers have enough time to address the rulebook updates ahead of November 2023, when these updates come into effect.

Annex IV of the 2023 SCT Inst rulebook version 1.0 lists all changes compared to the version 1.0 of the 2021 SCT Inst rulebook.
